The Classic Polo Surface

Pique’s raised waffle knit gives polo shirts their structured body, collar stand and textured appearance — the look buyers associate with a proper polo rather than a printed t-shirt.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers to what apparel buyers ask before requesting a quotation.

What is the best GSM for cotton pique polo shirts?
It depends on position and market: lighter pique suits warm climates and entry programs; heavier double pique gives the structured, premium hand-feel of classic retail polos. Target GSM is fixed at sample stage — see the fabric guide for ranges and trade-offs.
Do cotton polo shirts shrink after washing?
All cotton knits move unless controlled. We use pre-shrunk/relaxed fabric processing and test dimensional stability in development; residual shrinkage is held within the tolerance on your spec sheet. Care labels are written to the tested results.
Can I order 100% cotton in custom colors?
Yes. Bulk fabric is dyed to approved lab dips (Pantone or physical standard). Custom colors need higher MOQ than stock colors because dyeing runs have minimum yardage.
Do cotton polos take embroidery well?
Pique is the classic surface for embroidery: the texture supports dense logos without show-through. Correct backing and digitizing prevent puckering, which is test-stitched on your fabric before bulk.
